I use to babysit that age group, and we made finger puppets that we attached to cheap work gloves--one puppet for each finger. It's always fun to make stuff kind of cartoonish. Also, the wolf should have a red cape / hood. start with a brown sock and some velcro and bits of felt in different colors, and round-edged scissors or whatever.
