Dinner is the best time of the day to sit down with the entire family and spend a little time together. Whether you have to go to work or drive your kids to school, followed by soccer practice or dance lessons, there is just too little time in the day to get quality family time in. People are usually very busy with their own schedules and activities and find it hard to cut in some time for family. That is why people traditionally use dinnertime to help with this. Having plenty of dinner recipes at hand can help a great deal in planning your week.

There are many easy and quick dinner recipes that you can make for a family dinner get together. Instead of ordering Chinese or pizza, why not create one of your own delicious and fast dinner recipes that your family will love. One all time favorite recipe for dinner is hamburger soup. The best thing about hamburger soup is that this dish lasts for a few days providing plenty of leftovers. Below you will find the basic recipe for this wonderful soup.

Hamburger Soup Recipe

- Fill up a large pot with hot water and add around 8 or 9 beef flavored bouillon cubes. Turn your burner on medium low.

- Next you want to cut up around 4 to 5 potatoes (you can leave skins on or off) and toss them in.

- Chop up a handful or two of carrots and celery and toss them in

- Add a can of green beans or corn (or both), you can even use peas

- Add two cans of tomato soup (you can substitute with a jar of spaghetti sauce)

- Cut up some cabbage and toss that in

- Brown a pound of ground beef and toss that in

- Add some salt and pepper

Now let it all simmer for a few hours. Once the potatoes and veggies soften up, your soup is ready for eating. Package up the rest and put away in your refrigerator afterwards for some easy leftovers. Pop a bowl of this soup in for a quick snack or for tomorrow’s lunch. It takes about 2 minutes to reheat a bowl. You can even throw the pot back on the stove and begin simmering again so everyone can enjoy a quick bowl of it.

Hamburger soup is just one of many favored dinner recipes. It is quick to whip together and once it is ready, you will have easy access to a fast snack or meal whenever you are in the mood. The important thing is to get your family sitting together at the table and sharing in conversation. What a delicious way to do just that.

Kids love to bake and make delicious treats from the kitchen. Giving them opportunities to make their own chocolate recipes or other tasty treats will delight them. Here are just a few ideas on little chocolate decadent dreams that your children can make without much help.

Hot Fudge Sundae

This is one of the easiest chocolate recipes around for your child to make and then enjoy afterwards. All you need is a pint of ice cream (chocolate or vanilla), hot fudge, whipped cream and any tiny, tasty toppings your child would like to put on top (such as cherries, sprinkles, nuts, etc.).

Store bought hot fudge will work just fine for this project as it is easier for your child to prepare. Have your child get a bowl and scoop out 3 or 4 scoops of ice cream into the bowl. Then have them heat up the hot fudge in a microwave following the instructions on the bottle or jar and pour over the ice cream.

Next, they will either scoop or spray the whipped cream on top of the hot fudge (depending on the type of bottle they got). Have them finish off with their favorite decorative toppings. Eat and enjoy!

Chocolate M&M Crispy Bars

Chocolate recipes filled with gooey marshmallow and lots of chocolate is every child’s dream to make and eat. Chocolate M&M Crispy bars are so easy to make and so good to eat! They can be whipped up in as little as 10 minutes and can be eaten once cooled. What you need is:

- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1 (10 oz., approx. 40) pkg. of regular marshmallows or 3 cups of miniature marshmallows
- 6 cups of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies
- 1 cup M&Ms (can be substituted with nestle chocolate chips)

In a microwave safe bowl, heat up butter and marshmallows for 2 minutes in microwave. Stir when melted. Microwave again for an additional minute. Stir in Rice Krispies and M&Ms and press into a pan that you have buttered or sprayed with a non-stick spray or have lined with wax paper. Allow to cool.
