It was very, very easy....and extremely cheap. If you have enough volunteers for good supervision you could also have a candle making booth where the kids can dip their own tapers, they usually find that really fun. 10lbs of wax and a ball of wick string would be like $20 and make at least a dozen candles. Inexpensive store bought masks are available and the kids could paint them or decorate them with sparkles and feathers or anything else that comes to hand.
