Best Art And Craft Idea For Kids?

On the 20th of October i have a small town old tyme days festival and i have to be at and i have to run a booth. i want to make one for kids and i need to find something that kids will love…it has to be cheap and something easy. any ideas?

I second the mask-making idea.
particularly at this time of year mask making or mask decorating is a good idea.
Inexpensive store bought masks are available and the kids could paint them or decorate them with sparkles and feathers or anything else that comes to hand.
I did this a couple of years ago and it was a great hit.

Kids usually love face painting
or
Sand sculptures with different colored sand in bottles, jars…etc…could use plastic containers so they wouldn’t be breakable.
or
Have a jack-o-lantern booth where the kids can paint their own pumpkin with acrylics…easy cleanup.

I remember on pioneer day we used to make corn husk dolls. It was very, very easy….and extremely cheap.
If you have enough volunteers for good supervision you could also have a candle making booth where the kids can dip their own tapers, they usually find that really fun. 10lbs of wax and a ball of wick string would be like $20 and make at least a dozen candles. Coloring should be pretty inexpensive as well.
